Round table discussion held in Split

Within the program for the promotion of regional development, "Elmap Green Powered Solutions for Waste Water Treatment and Disposal Sector" (Elmap GREEN) served as an example in the promotion of the concept of distribution and collection of faecal waste.

On15 September 2014, a lecture on this subject was organized in the University Library in Split. It was attended by due representatives of the County, local cities and municipalities, the representatives of utility companies, civil organizations and other parties interested in the application of such concept which would, with the appropriate application, reduce the overall cost of faecal waste removal and increase the level of environmental protection.

The justification of the concept to build a distribution network for emptying the trucks that transport faecal waste is based on the savings in fuel consumption made possible by shorter transport route, the reduced time of engagement of both transport equipment and personnel, as well as the low maintenance cost of each faecal waste station.

The project developed a model for unmanned septic reception station management in which the operational expenses for station maintenance are reduced to a minimum.

In addition to the above mentioned concept and the management model, Elmap MMS (Maintenance Management System) - a universal tool for the systematic management of operating staff and maintenance activities was presented. This tool enables more efficient staff management, better control over the system being maintained and the statistical monitoring of failures and maintenance costs. The integration of such system increases the operational capacity of company and the work life of installed equipment, while at the same time reducing maintenance costs due to better organization.
